Requirements by DGMS Sri Lanka for the ferries intended to operate between Sri Lankan & Indian ports.
- Certificate of Class (Issued in Compliance with applicable Class / Code for the intended service)
- Stability Book approved by the flag administration or by RO approved by DGMS-SL.
- Approved Sea Trail Report.
- Certificate of Registry
- International Tonnage Certificate (Where Applicable)
- Safety Certificate and record for High-Speed Crafts, Special Purpose Ships, or Small Commercial Vessels (As Applicable).
- Permit to Operate High-Speed Craft issued by the flag. (Where Applicable)
- International Load Line or Load Line Exemption Certificate
- Pollution Prevention Certificates (As applicable per Marpol Convention).
- Crew Accommodation certificate.
- DOC & SMC (As per SOLAS Ch. IX ISM Code).
- International Ship Security Certificate (As per SOLAS Ch. XI ISM Code).
- MLC certificate (Where Applicable as per MLC 2006).
- All other Statutory Certificates as applicable for the Type & GT of the Vessel.
- IMO Crew List.
- Skipper & Crew Certificate as per SMD.
- Passage plan indicating the identified locations of Refuge (To be shared with MRCC).
- Arrangement for SAR.
- Safe Manning Document (As per SOLAS Ch. V with Certification requirement of the Skipper & the crew.)
- P & I Cover appropriate for the intended service.
- Certificate issued under the Convention of Civil Liability for Fuel Oil (Where Applicable.)
