Documents required for the issue of a provisional registration.
- Notarized proof of ownership (Bill of Sale or Builder’s Certificate)
- If the applicant owns a vessel under a foreign flag and the vessel is being transferred to Sri Lanka Flag without changing the ownership, proof of ownership duly legalized by competent authority.
- Cancellation certificate or consent of the current registry.
- Board resolutions from buying and selling companies.
- Certificate of class or seaworthiness certificate issued by one of the above mentioned classification societies.
