Requirements by DGMS Sri Lanka for the ferries intended to operate between Sri Lankan & Indian ports.

1. Certificate of Class (Issued in Compliance with applicable Class / Code for the intended service)
2. Stability Book approved by the flag administration or by RO approved by DGMS-SL.
3. Approved Sea Trail Report.
4. Certificate of Registry
5. International Tonnage Certificate (Where Applicable)
6. Safety Certificate and record for High-Speed Crafts, Special Purpose Ships, or Small Commercial Vessels (As Applicable).
7. Permit to Operate High-Speed Craft issued by the flag. (Where Applicable)
8. International Load Line or Load Line Exemption Certificate
9. Pollution Prevention Certificates (As applicable per Marpol Convention).
10. Crew Accommodation certificate.
11. DOC & SMC (As per SOLAS Ch. IX ISM Code).
12. International Ship Security Certificate (As per SOLAS Ch. XI ISM Code).
13. MLC certificate (Where Applicable as per MLC 2006).
14. All other Statutory Certificates as applicable for the Type & GT of the Vessel.
15. IMO Crew List.
16. Skipper & Crew Certificate as per SMD.
17. Passage plan indicating the identified locations of Refuge (To be shared with MRCC).
18. Arrangement for SAR.
19. Safe Manning Document (As per SOLAS Ch. V with Certification requirement of the Skipper & the crew.)
20. P & I Cover appropriate for the intended service.
21. Certificate issued under the Convention of Civil Liability for Fuel Oil (Where Applicable.)
